Finally Mar 16, 2009
By A Customer I bought my Baby Jogger City Mini Double stroller last year after looking at several double strollers. For some reason, finding a side by side stroller with child trays is virtually impossible. It also happens to be one of the features that I really wanted so of course I purchased the trays when they became available. The trays attach to the belly bar with velcro straps. I was a little worried that they wouldn't velcro on securely but they do in fact attach very firmly with adjustable velcro loops. The trays are quite sturdy as well. They can be adjusted higher or lower because the belly bar is adjustable. My twins are 15 months old and even on the lower setting the tray is a little high. I wouldn't suggest these trays for a small baby. They are a lot bigger and higher than what you would see on a single stroller that has a tray attached.
Overall, the trays are good and do come in handy but I think it's kind of ridiculous that it costs upwards of $80.00 just to have child trays on a $350.00 stroller.

GREAT addition to the City Mini Double! Aug 24, 2010

I have TWO trays for our City Mini Double--works GREAT if you know how to install them. You have to clip them on one at a time and slide it to the side until you can velcro the tabs onto the bar--one tab will be 'round the side of the bar. The trays sit towards the end of the bar on each side. Reviews like the one saying only one tray fits are misleading. If Baby Jogger says they are made to fit, they aren't just lying about it. I think the bumper bar and trays are a fabulous addition to the stroller! :) I don't like that all the extras cost so much though! :( BUT...you get what you pay for! I have been SO impressed with the quality of Baby Jogger!

tray for baby jogger city mini May 06, 2009
By Stacy Terrell this is a good concept since the stroller doesn't come with a tray, the problem is it only fits one tray. So only one kid gets the tray infront of them. I ordered two and am now stuck with an extra one.

Works great! Dec 12, 2010
By Suzette McGrann Got this for my younger child's seat on the stroller. I don't have any issues with it coming off too easily, in fact, sometimes it's hard to snap the second hinge on. The hinge attaches close to the fabric of the seat, so if I often have to look to see if I'm hitting the seat fabric while snapping on the tray. Other than that, it's perfect+ for holding her cup and putting her cheerios and other finger foods in the tray so she can snack while we are strolling, shopping or running errands. It detaches easy for clean up and cleans up easy with a baby wipe. The cup holder is a good depth, seems like a cup will stay put even if you hit some bumps while strolling. I have a few short sippys with handles that don't work because the handles get in the way of the tray, but I think my Born Free sippys with handles will fit fine.
Something I didn't think about before I got it, since I have 2 seats, one for an infant and one for a 3 yr old, the seat with the tray on will fit behind the first seat (in tandem position), but it's a tight squeeze to get the child in the seat without taking the tray off. Not a deal breaker, but taking the tray off first before putting in child just adds an extra step in setting up the stroller. I normally put my lighter (thus my younger child with the tray) in the front anyway since it's easier to push because of the weight distribution so I don't run into this very often. It's not a problem when the two seats are facing each other, in fact the children can share the tray so you don't have to buy two.

mmm... Aug 18, 2010
By L. Mastrigt I like the tray, it works great for snacks and to keep my son in the seat. But it comes off pretty easily, when opened to take the baby out he often grabs it and off comes the whole thing! It's the only one available for this stroller, so there isn't another option. But maybe the bellybar stays on better?
